About

I speak four languages, have lived on three continents, can’t give a straight answer when someone asks where I’m from.

I spent three years living in Argentina, four months travelling through South America, did an internship in Brazil, and currently call London home — though Asia keeps pulling me back. I spent one month in Chiang Mai and two months in Fukuoka. I think solo travel as an Asian woman is one of the most underreported subjects on the internet.

I drink mate, cook Macanese food on the same days I make Japanese ramen or Spanish paella, depending on what the week needs.

This site exists because the best things I found along the way — the neighbourhood restaurant that doesn’t appear on social media, the phrase in Spanish that actually put a smile on locals’ faces, the Chiang Mai co-working space worth settling into vs. just dropping by — never made it into any guide I could find.

I’m not a professional travel writer. I’m a marketer by trade, which means I think about what people are actually searching for — and I’ve noticed that the questions people type (“is Argentina safe for solo women”, “what to eat in Thailand that isn’t pad thai”, “how do I actually learn Spanish not just Duolingo”) rarely get answered honestly by people who’ve lived the answer.

I have. Not perfectly. But really.

This is what you’ll find here:

Taste — recipes from the cultures I’ve eaten my way through, with the context of where they actually come from.

Wander — destination guides and solo travel insights.

Learn — practical language resources for people who want to connect, not just order coffee.

Resources — honest guides for digital nomads on where to go, what it actually costs, and what nobody tells you beforehand.

If that sounds like what you’ve been looking for — you’re in the right place.
